FIFA 18 Wishlist Features: EA Sports have probable taken the virtual footballing experience to entirely new levels with their latest FIFA franchise games which have been consistently improving every year. Their latest offering, the FIFA 17 has revolutionized the in-game graphics of the game to the pinnacle with the latest Frostbite engine and latest in-game features like new attacking techniques, physical player overhaul, active intelligence system and set piece rewrites.
However, a FIFA fan will always ask for more and more from the game developers and quite satisfyingly, FIFA wish lists have a history of materializing in the game itself as we have seen from the past versions. The latest version of the game is the fastest selling FIFA version in the history of the franchise and post its humongous success, the rumour mill surrounding the next FIFA version, FIFA 18, has increased massively with the game developers already in works with the game. Let's check some of the FIFA 18 Wishlist Features right now.
FIFA 18 Wishlist: Check What We can Expect From EA Sports
Here is our latest wish list regarding the further developments we want in the new FIFA 18:
In-depth Practice Arena in Manager Mode
Even though in the latest FIFA 17, “The Journey” mode hogs the limelight, orthodox FIFA players will still stick to the incredibly famous Manager Mode which has been in the game for years.
The FIFA manager mode has seen a considerable jump on an overall basis since FIFA 12 and keeps on improving every year but one thing which quite a number of hardcore FIFA fans want in FIFA 18 is an improved and detailed practice arena in the FIFA 18 manager modes.
- Every single FIFA player is different in his own way and practice sessions with specific teams in the manager mode can go miles into improving one’s manager mode scores.
- What we want from FIFA 18 Wishlist is the ability to issue specific instructions into the players which will have an effect in the players mentality while we control them on the field of actual play only after implementing the game in practice. What this will do is heighten the manager mode experience to a whole new level and make it seem like real-life managerial instructions are implemented by the players in the game.

FIFA 18 Journey Mode
Perhaps the most striking feature of FIFA 17 has definitely been the Journey mode. For those unaware of this or haven’t had the chance to play the game yet, The game features a new single-player story campaign mode titled The Journey where players assume the role of Alex, a young footballer trying to make his mark in the Premier League. With this, FIFA has introduced a special RPG mode where the player gets to control decisions of Alex Hunter whose predefined back story forms the basis of the game.
However, in this particular journey mode Hunter can play in the role an up field position, RW, ST, LW and CAM only. In the FIFA universe, there is a great percentage of players who are real life footballer and play in a variety of positions in real life and the ability of playing as a defender or a goalkeeper in this new mode does appeal to them. FIFA 18 Wishlist can make a huge improvement to this already successful journey mode by offering a range of options and player to choose from with each player playing in a different position and following different back stories.
Ballon d’Or and Other individual awards
Everyone who is remotely connected to the football world has heard of the FIFA Ballon d’Or which is probably the biggest individual award of the game and this particular award has gone missing in all modes of the game.
- What our point is over here is that even in the world of virtual gaming, prizes and awards play a huge motivating role for a player and awards like Ballon d’Or and Manager of the year might prove to be a huge boost for the FIFA gamer both in case of the Manager mode and the Journey Mode in FIFA 18.
Referees and Injuries: More attention to detail
What we want in FIFA’s next iteration is realistic refereeing and injuries. The last edition did have quite a number of glitches when it came to the referees who gave fouls and red cards in the softest of challenges in spite of the referee strictness slider set at a minimum. Also brought into consideration should be offside calls. As the referee is a part of the artificial intelligence of the system itself, playing an advantage in case of a complicated offside situation do not seem to be a very far-fetched demand. Also, players in FIFA 17 seem to have succumbing to soft injuries with very less amount of contact and very often, there is a very little detail regarding the injury making it one of the major glitches in the game. Also players grab their shoulders and then it ends up they have a broken ankle. Plus if they are going to have an injury introducing medical staff cut scenes does seem like a good idea as a player with a broken ankle isn’t just going to walk off the field on his own and sit on the sidelines.
Champions League, Europa League and UEFA Super Cup licensing
When it comes to European football, the UEFA Champions League is perhaps the biggest tournament in the continent and in the world too but quite sadly FIFA does no have the license to incorporate the Champions League or any of the other UEFA tournaments in the game.
What is Waiting For Us??
Easily the most watched tournament in the world, the Champions League is one tournament which every FIFA enthusiast would want to play and win sitting at home and we are hoping that there will be some good news rolled out before the release of FIFA’s latest iteration which will enable us to play these much coveted tournaments in the much anticipated FIFA 18 next year. This is our take on FIFA 18 Wishlist, and let us know about it in the comments below.
For a hardcore FIFA and football enthusiast, this EA Sports offering is huge and is probably the widest played game on the planet right now spanning all major platforms. With technology advancing every passing moment, our wish list for the latest FIFA 18 Wishlist does not seem very unrealistic and we are sure that the future game will definitely sport some, if not all of these features.
