FIFA 18 Cover Star: As fans continue wondering about what great new features EA’s next FIFA game FIFA 18 will bring in, most have forgotten to consider what is undoubtedly one of the most exciting aspects- the cover star. For year after year, EA has continued to delight us with their games, and last year’s title was undoubtedly one of the best we have ever managed to get our hands on. Features aside, EA picked the cover star for the 2016 installment through a global poll which had Reus emerge as the fan favorite.
FIFA 18 Cover Stars: Check Our Top 5 Guess
This year too, we can look forward to EA coming up with some great new names to be featured as the cover star for FIFA 18. Why is a cover star so important, you ask? That is because those featured on the cover are not just known for their on-field flair, but for their career potential and overall contribution to what happens to arguably be the most popular sport in the world. So here we go taking a guess at who could grace the FIFA 18 Cover.
Dele Alli: Our first pick for being the cover star for FIFA 18 is the 21-year-old gifted English midfielder. And we are not the only ones rooting for the Tottenham Hotspur star. Months of leaks and rumors suggest that this could be our cover athlete for FIFA 18, and that EA has already roped in the footballer. Like we said, this is only a rumor until EA confirms something. But we will be disappointed if Alli is not announced as an official ambassador.
Marta: One of the best things about FIFA 16 was its focus on women’s football with twelve national teams. But the fact that the next installment failed to take that forward at all was not only disappointing, but also disheartening. With this year, we are hoping that EA will address that issue and flesh out women’s football as a core part of the game. But that’s not th only reason why we would love to see the Brazilian powerhouse make it to the cover. Regarded as one of the best footballers of all time, Marta has been named the FIFA World Player of the Year consecutively between 2006 and 2010. Her inclusion on the cover would mean great things for the gaming franchise.
Paulo Dybala: Clearly among the most promising of all the young footballers who have come up this year, the 23 year old Argentine footballer continues to surprise us. We can only expect much more from him on the professional front in the seasons to come, and that’s why we think the rising star will make a great choice for the FIFA 18 cover.
Neymar: Seems like an obvious choice for a lot of fans. While Neymar may not have been in top form consistently, the young player floored it during the last season. Aldso, his drive and commitment towards succeeding, which ultimately results in an aggressive yet stylish footballing , makes him a great choice for being the FIFA 18 cover athlete. However, there may be problems on that front due to his existing contract with Konami.
N'Golo Kanté: The talented 26-year-old Frenchman has taken the world by storm in recent times, and has surprised us all by winning the PFA Players’ Player of the Year for 2016-17. Kanté’s nimble footed presence on the field along with his exceptional ball winning abilities makes him a great potential choice for the FIFA 18 Cover Athlete.
We have picked some great players for our most coveted potential cover stars for EA’s next FIFA game, but as always, there are a lot of other players, both veterans and promising, that the publishers could go for. Whatever be the case, we would love to come to know soon what EA has in store for fans of FIFA 18.
